Top 10 Places I Want to Visit

There are just so many places that I want to visit! I think travelling really opens our minds to other cultures and lifestyles that are so different to how we live our lives, and allows us to feel a sense of adventure! In no particular order (except for the first one) Here are my top 10 places on my bucket list:

1. South Korea

South Korea is on the top of my list of places I want to visit, for many reasons! Firstly, I love kpop and the Korean culture, which I think is reason enough to want to visit! I’ve been a fan of kpop for about 9 years now, which is a very long time! It would be amazing to learn more about their culture. Secondly, I love the Korean language; I have self-taught myself Korean and also attended classes at uni, so I would love to be able to test out my Korean language skills :P

2. Japan

Japan has always interested me, and I particularly want to visit Tokyo! I also want to see the cherry blossoms in bloom, it looks so beautiful in pictures! I can also imagine the food there would be so good – I absolutely love Japanese food, it’s like my favourite! (you can never have enough sushi).

3. Maldives

This island has become a popular holiday destination this year, and I can see why! It looks so serene being surrounded by the sea, and I can just imagine myself chilling on the beach or sitting outside my hotel window taking in the sea breeze. It would be an amazing place to go for a relaxing holiday, and would make a great honeymoon destination too!

Santorini Summer OOTD #2

If you enjoyed my first Santorini Summer OOTD, here is another outfit that I wore on my holiday to the beautiful Greek island! (Just slipping this post in before it hits Autumn haha!) You may have already seen me post a couple of pictures on my Instagram wearing this outfit, and I absolutely love it! To find out more about what we got up to in Santorini, click here!
What I love about this dress is that it has a simple yet stylish design - a short floral black and pink top layer, and the rest is a black maxi dress that's slightly see-through at the bottom to give it a more elegant feel, and there are slits down both sides to show off the legs. I love how this dress is suitable for all sorts of occasions, from walks in sunny towns like Fira, or even as an evening dress! It's so comfortable to wear, I wore this throughout the whole day in the bustling town of Fira, and it was still in tact haha! I paired this dress with a beach hat, rose-gold Aviator sunglasses and a large blue hand-bag that can fit all my travel things in! (I carry a lot of stuff!)

DRESS: H&M
HAT: Primark
SUNGLASSES: River Island
BAG: A shop in HK

I hope you enjoyed my OOTD post, if you liked this post feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think! :)

Santorini Summer Vacay 2017

After spamming you all with my pictures on Instagram, I have finally found the time to blog! Santorini has been on my bucket list for some time now, and my boyfriend and I finally had a chance to visit this beautiful Greek island. When we arrived at the airport after a 4 hour flight, we took a shuttle bus to our hotel in Perissa beach towards the south east of the island, which took about 30 minutes. After unpacking, the first thing we did was head out to grab some lunch at one of the lovely restaurants nearby. I have to say, Greek food is amazing, especially their Greek salad and grilled octopus! Everywhere we went the food was really good, and they give generous portion sizes.

Prague 2017 - Valentine's Getaway

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day on the 14th Feb! This year, my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate this special occasion in the lovely Prague! <3 We set off on the actual day and stayed there for 4 days, 3 nights. Prague is a place that I've wanted to visit for ages, and we finally managed to book it as our first holiday of the year :D
We visited many iconic places such as the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock Tower, Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, Mala Strana, Petrin Hill and the Petrin Tower. We were very lucky that the weather was sunny and not too cold for the whole duration. The Hotel we stayed in, called 'Grandior Hotel' was not too far from the old town square (main tourist site) - about 10-15 mins walk.

Grandior Hotel:
Old Town Square - it looked so authentic and historic!

Day Trip to Brighton

I recently went to Brighton to visit my sister who is studying there, and thought I'd share some pictures that I took whilst I was there! Brighton is a really touristy place, with attractions like the rocky beach, Brighton Pier, quirky little cafes and vintage shops, seafood restaurants, nightlife, and the new BA I360.
The Brighton Eye (which was once there but now has been replaced by the BA I360) - In my opinion, the Brighton Eye looked way more attractive than the BA I360, but it wasn't very popular for tourists I guess :(
The rocky beach/seafront.

Venice 2016

Last stop in our Italy Trip: Venice.

After visiting Rome and Florence, we headed to the beautiful Venice and spent 2 days there where we visited the main tourist attractions such as the Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco, Saint Marc's Basilica, San Marco Campanile, Rialto Bridge, Bridge of Sighs and Santa Maria della Salute. If we spent longer in Venice, we would've also visited Murano and Burano, as these are also famous attractions.

Florence 2016

Second stop in Italy: Florence.
After 4 days in Rome, we travelled by train to Florence and visited places such as Ponte Vecchio, Florence Cathedral, Basilica of Santa Croce, Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazza del Duomo and Ponte Santa Trinita.

Florence is quite an old-looking city, but it still has a very authentic feel to it like Rome. There were so many tourists everywhere, and although people say Florence is quite expensive, we thought it wasn't that expensive - prices were similar to Rome and cheaper than in London. Florence is not actually very big, so it was easy to get around on foot or by bus to visit the main attractions. If you're going to visit Florence, make sure you visit the tourist information centre that's just across the road from the Firenze SMN train station as they will give you a map of Florence and can give you details about how to get around. We found this so helpful!

Rome 2016

First stop in our Italy Trip was Rome - we visited lots of tourist attractions such as the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, St. Peter's Basilica, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, Piazza del Popolo, Vatican City, Vatican Museums, Castel Sant'Angelo and Altare della Patria. We spent 4 days there in total, and luckily for us, everyday was sunny! Rome has lots of things to offer, and Italian coffee is just amazing :O Taking the train or underground is so easy and accessible, and most places are within walking distance so it is not difficult to get around.

The Colosseum:
The food was so good! This restaurant was called 'Exquisitaly' in the heart of Rome.

Italy Trip - Rome, Florence & Venice

Italy has been one of the top places that I've wanted to visit for a long time (amongst many other places on my list haha), so during the Easter holidays, my boyfriend and I decided, as our first trip together, to travel to Italy! :D We visited 3 places~ Rome, Florence and Venice (in that order). We flew from Stansted Airport to Rome and stayed there for 4 days, then travelled by train to Florence and stayed there for 3 days, then lastly visited Venice by train for 2 days. It was one heck of a journey with all that travelling, but it was worth it as the places were so beautiful! My favourite place has to be Rome though; everything just looks so authentic, and there were just so many attractions to see, such as the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, to name a few. We could've spent a whole week there exploring and wouldn't be bored! Florence is known to be a romantic place to visit but there was not as much to see compared to Rome, so a few days there was enough for us. Venice was also lovely, and taking a boat ride around Venice is a must! But everything there was pretty expensive ><
Although we only spent 9 days altogether in Italy, it was a great trip and we'd definitely want to visit it again! We also planned on visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa but unfortunately we couldn't make it as I was feeling unwell during that time, so we'll have to save that one for another time :)
Overall, Italy has impressed me and the people there were so friendly and welcoming. But I've had enough of eating pasta and pizza for a while ;) The coffee was amazing in Italy, UK just can't compare!
More details on the individual places of Rome, Florence and Venice coming up soon!

Love,

Carissa xxx
