Up at the O2

I never knew that there was an activity where you can climb the O2 in London :O I only ever went to the O2 for a concert, who'd have thought we'd actually climb it! My boyfriend had heard of it and he wanted to go with me, so we booked it online the night before. We decided to go on the day he finished his exam. When we arrived at our booked time slot, they scanned our tickets and we were led to a room where we were shown a video about the climb and what we'd be doing. We filled out a health and safety form, then put our belongings away. We had to wear a harness, as well as a jacket with pockets where we could hold our phone or camera. We were also given shoes to wear. We were in a group of about 8-10 people.
The walk up the O2 was not very hard, we had to hook our harness on to a central metal bar that ran all the way to the top of the O2 for our safety. We walked on what seemed like a trampoline, but we weren't allowed to bounce on it :P They helped us to take pictures before we walked up the O2.
When we reached the top of the O2, we were allowed about 15 minutes to look around and take pictures. We could see the whole view of London.
Overall it was a good experience, and although it was quite pricey, we did enjoy ourselves and took lots of pictures at the top. Being at the O2 in Greenwich is a significant place for us as it is where we first met, and now a few years later, we're back here together but at the top of the O2 xD

Kimchee 김치

I'm excited to write a review about this place~ I have to say, this restaurant is amazing :D The food was sooo good, it may even be the best Korean restaurant I've tried so far in the UK! Kimchee is located in Holborn, London. The restaurant is quite big and there's usually a lot of people there, but luckily we didn't have to wait long to be seated. For starters, we ordered ddeokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and mandu (chicken/veg dumplings). The ddeokbokki was good, but very spicy. If you like your food really spicy, then you'll enjoy this dish. It was quite a large plate too.
The mandu/dumplings were also very nicely cooked. It came with soy sauce.
For mains, I ordered jajang myeon (black bean noodles) with seafood and pork. It was delicious. Love a good jajang myeon <3
My boyfriend ordered his favourite~ galbitang (a soup made from beef ribs with carrots, radish and egg). He ordered rice with it. This was really nice too, and again, it was quite a large portion. Compared to other galbitangs we've tried, we could really taste the flavour in this one.
We were really satisfied with our meals, and the service here was also very good. We will definitely come back here again! If you have any suggestions of other Korean restaurants you've tried, please feel free to comment below! I would love to hear from you.

Breakfast in London and Camden Town

My sister, Mellissa and I decided to travel down to London early to have breakfast at The Riding House Café in Oxford Circus. We ordered our coffee first; a flat white and a latte. Then for breakfast we ordered a Chorizo Hash Brown and an Eggs Royale.

I thought I'd give the Eggs Royale a try because I've only tried Eggs Benedict before and I wanted to try the same thing with salmon instead of bacon. The food was good, although the Chorizo Hash Brown was a little salty. However it was quite expensive; the Eggs Royale was £11 for the large plate. For the small plate (where you only get ONE egg ><) would be £7, which I thought was a rip off. But the café atmosphere was nice, the place was really big and modern.
After that, we decided to head to Camden Town to try and find the liquid nitrogen ice-cream sandwich that is becoming very popular these days. We went to Chin Chin Labs and bought a 'brown-wich', which is basically two chocolate brownie cookies surrounding a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle to make the 'sandwich'. There were other flavours of ice cream too, such as burnt butter caramel, coffee and doughnuts and apple turnover. They made the ice cream right in front of us with their big machine that had steam coming out of it, which would be the liquid nitrogen. The last time I had a liquid nitrogen ice-cream was in Hong Kong. Anyway, the brown-wich was really good, it was so chocolatey and it was actually quite big. My sister and I shared one and it was definitely enough for the both of us! haha
Then we walked around Camden for a little while and browsed in Camden Market. I've been to Camden a few times before and I really enjoy going to Camden Market as there is a lot of things to see and buy, and the street food there is good and quite cheap.
Camden Lock is across the road from Camden Market and it also has lots of shops, stalls, pubs and restaurants. If you are visiting the UK, Camden Town is a great place to go!
